THIS WEEK: Join our protest of Cecile
Richards'
fundraiser for Tom Barrett
This Wednesday and Thursday, Cecile
Richards,
president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, will be the
keynote speaker for two fundraisers for gubernatorial candidate Tom
Barrett. Click
here to view the event on PPWI's website.
Planned Parenthood’s theme
of ‘Moving Wisconsin Forward’ is disrespectful to the thousands of
babies they kill every year, babies who will never "Move Forward"
in Wisconsin.
We will prayerfully and peacefully protest the bloody collaboration of
Cecile Richards,
Governor Jim Doyle (a PPWI lifetime achievement award recipient) and
Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (endorsed by PPWI for Wisconsin governor).
The communities in which these events will
be held – at the homes of Planned Parenthood supporters – will not be
able to ignore Planned
Parenthood’s destructive agenda.
Milwaukee: Wednesday, July
28
Protest 4pm - 7pm, as the event is from 5pm-7pm. We will witness to
people as
they arrive and leave, as well as the street traffic.
Event will be at the home of Chris & Miriam Abele, 3319 N. Lake
Drive, Milwaukee. We will be across the street and on the sidewalk.
Madison: Thursday, July 29
Protest 4pm - 7pm, as the event is from 5pm-7pm. We will witness to
people as
they arrive and leave, as well as the street traffic.
At the home of Peggy Hedberg, 69 Cambridge Road, Madison. We will be
across the street and on the sidewalk.

Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC releases
candidate endorsement list
Candidate endorsements by the Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund political
action committee (PAC) are now available to be viewed on the web at
ProLifeWisconsin.org. Click
here to view the list. The Victory Fund PAC has endorsed a
total of 96 candidates for state office in the upcoming fall primary
and general elections. Included on the endorsement page is a message on
what it means to be “100% pro-life.”
“These candidates hold the ‘no exceptions’ pro-life philosophy and we
are proud to endorse them,” said Mary Matuska, president of the
Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC. “Only when we have lawmakers who
will not discriminate against those preborn children who are
politically unpopular – those conceived in rape or incest, for example
– will we see an end to the scandal of abortion. Pro-Life Wisconsin
holds high the banner of total protection for all preborn children, and
thankfully, more and more candidates for elected office meet this
standard.”
Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund supports candidates for public office
who demonstrate a commitment to protect each and every innocent human
life – in all circumstances and at all stages of development. To be
“100% pro-life” is to know that a human life begins at fertilization
and to therefore understand that there may never be a legal exception
to an innocent child’s inalienable right to life. Accordingly, it
requires defending the child conceived in rape, the child whose
mother’s life is perceived to be in danger, the disabled preborn baby,
the tiny embryo vulnerable to experimental research, or the “terminally
ill” patient who is viewed as a “burden” on society.
“We stand behind the candidates who are willing to stand behind 100% of
the babies,” said Matuska. “With an incredible opportunity to reclaim
pro-life majorities in the State Assembly and State Senate, 2010 is a
critical election year. We are galvanizing our members to actively
support these pro-life candidates and push them on to victory.”

Saturday:
Pro-life sidewalk counselor training
Pro-Life Wisconsin and the Rockford Pro-Life Initiative are
co-sponsoring a sidewalk counselor training session. The event will be
this Saturday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Bridget Parish, 600
Clifford Ave., Loves Park, Ill.
Sidewalk counseling is exactly what the name implies — standing on the
sidewalk outside an abortion clinic, counseling women and couples on
their way inside. It is a last attempt to turn their hearts away from
abortion and offer real help. Veteran sidewalk counselor Jeff Eschbach
from the Pro-Life Action League will be conducting this free seminar
that is open to people of all ages who are interested in knowing how to
be an effective witness for Christ and life at an abortion clinic. This
training is also very helpful for anyone interested in learning
how to talk to people about abortion and help guide them to real help.
To attend, email Kevin at
everylifematters@comcast.net or call (815) 494-0333. You MUST pre-register in order to
attend.
The Rockford abortion mill was recently in the news, after the
owner attacked sidewalk counselors with a chainsaw. Read it here.

Recall effort against Scott Southworth fails
In March, Juneau County District Attorney Scott Southworth sent a
letter to the five public school districts in Juneau County warning
that the new sexual education law recently passed by the Wisconsin
Legislature and signed by Governor Doyle could expose district school
teachers to criminal liability and school districts to civil liability
for promoting “the sexualization – and sexual assault – of our
children.”
On account of Southworth's pro-life, pro-family efforts, a recall was
started against Southworth. The deadline to file the required number of
signatures was July 19, and no signatures were filed. It is clear the
people of Juneau County support Southworth's efforts to protect
Wisconsin's youth. To read a Juneau
County Star-Times article on the failed recall, click
here. To read Southworth's press release on the failed recall, click
here.
Pro-Life Wisconsin commends District Attorney Southworth for his
courage and frankness in exposing the consequences of this
irresponsible law. We encourage you to read Southworth’s letter
on PLW’s website and share it with your own county district attorney. Click
here for
a copy of the letter. As parents and concerned citizens, we need to
fight this assault on our youth. Chastity/abstinence is the only
message that will protect their bodies and preserve their innocence.
Southworth has strongly supported
Pro-Life Wisconsin’s personhood effort and is unwavering in his defense
of the disabled. Southworth was nominated for a CNN Heroes Award in
2007 after he adopted an Iraqi orphan boy. In 2003, while in Iraq, Maj.
Scott Southworth volunteered at the Mother Teresa Orphanage in Baghdad.
There, he befriended Ala'a, a 9-year-old boy with cerebral palsy. Two
years later, Southworth arranged to bring Ala'a to the United States.
In June 2007, he was granted legal adoption and the two officially
became father and son.

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin hiring community
organizers
Taking a page from ACORN and Saul Alinsky, Planned Parenthood of
Wisconsin [PPWI] is hiring "community campaigners to help run our 2010
canvassing operations." These employees of PPWI will be going
"door-to-door [to] talk about issues affecting women's health and
rights." Click here to view
the job description on PPWI's website.
Parents need to be aware that PPWI is an organization which covers up
purported statutory rape, lies or is ignorant about fetal development,
provides birth control to teenagers without their parents' knowledge,
lies to women about the physical and emotional after effects of
abortion, and many other offenses will be going door-to-door IN YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD.
Make sure you know what to say if Planned Parenthood employees show up
at your door. You have the right to refuse to talk to PPWI employees.
Educate yourself and your neighbors! Planned Parenthood is not a child
or community-friendly organization.
