An opinion writer for Live Action
-- the pro-life group known for its undercover
exposes of Planned Parenthood -- has covered our
personhood video! We are encouraged to see the
personhood message being shared far and wide.
From Live Action: For thirty-nine
years, Americans have been dealing with the
repercussions of Roe v. Wade, where the Supreme
Court legalized abortion on the basis that the
unborn are not people. Sometimes it may seem
like the pro-life movement is progressing, and
other times it seems as if the courts or other
government entities are taking the pro-life
movement back several steps.
That leaves the
question: is there hope?
Pro-Life Wisconsin released a short YouTube video addressing the
issue of Roe v. Wade from the context of other
civil rights movements.
From LifeSiteNews:
A school bus covered in pro-life images that
used to drive children to a local abortion
clinic to pray was firebombed Friday, June
15, report local advocates, who say the
media have been negligent in covering the
incident.
The bus, owned by Our Lady of the Sacred
Heart Academy, suffered extensive damage
after vandals threw more than one device
through the vehicle’s windows. Photos show
some of the seats reduced to little more
than metal frame and ash. The driver’s area
was also bombed, and appears to be unusable.
The bus is well known in the area for the
images on its windows, which include several
Catholic images, as well as pictures of
unborn children.
Local leader Kevin Rilott told
LifeSiteNews.com via telephone June 18 that
the pro-life community was “pretty upset”
about the destruction. Rilott used to
regularly protest at the notoriously
anti-Christian Northern Illinois Women’s
Center (NIWC) abortion mill in Rockford,
famous for the mocking and blasphemous
messages in its windows, which closed
permanently this year following an
investigation by health officials.
“We thought we’d be past all this, but
apparently not,” he said.
Top UK doctor's chilling claim: The NHS kills off
130,000 elderly patients every year
From the UK's Daily Mail newspaper:
NHS doctors are prematurely ending the lives of
thousands of elderly hospital patients because
they are difficult to manage or to free up beds,
a senior consultant claimed yesterday.
Professor Patrick Pullicino said doctors had
turned the use of a controversial ‘death
pathway’ into the equivalent of euthanasia of
the elderly.
He claimed there was often a lack of clear
evidence for initiating the Liverpool Care
Pathway, a method of looking after terminally
ill patients that is used in hospitals across
the country.
It is designed to come into force when doctors
believe it is impossible for a patient to
recover and death is imminent.
It can include withdrawal of treatment –
including the provision of water and nourishment
by tube – and on average brings a patient to
death in 33 hours.
There are around 450,000 deaths in Britain each
year of people who are in hospital or under NHS
care. Around 29 per cent – 130,000 – are of
patients who were on the LCP.
Professor Pullicino claimed that far too often
elderly patients who could live longer are
placed on the LCP and it had now become an
‘assisted death pathway rather than a care
pathway’.
He cited ‘pressure on beds and difficulty with
nursing confused or difficult-to-manage elderly
patients’ as factors.

Two
North Carolina abortion facilities caught agreeing
to schedule sex-selective abortions
From LifeSiteNews:
As part of their nationwide campaign to raise
awareness about the disturbing practice of
sex-selection in America’s abortion facilities,
Live Action released new footage today from two
North Carolina facilities.
The undercover sting shows counselors from
Planned Parenthood Chapel Hill and A Woman’s
Choice of Raleigh, a National Abortion
Federation affiliate, booking abortion
appointments for a woman even after she made it
clear she would only do it if they confirmed the
unborn child was a girl.
“We’re not here to judge people, we’re here to
present them with their options and to be
supportive of their decisions that are best for
them and their families,” says the Planned
Parenthood counselor.
“Your reasons are your reasons. It’s totally
fine,” said the counselor at A Woman’s Choice.
“We don’t even know the majority of people’s
reasons why they’re here.”
