"Choice Kills Those Without One": Madison
billboard placed in Planned Parenthood's parking lot
A pro-life billboard placed on S. Park
Street in Madison will be there
for the next 30 days, in the parking lot of a Planned Parenthood that
targets minorities. To view the billboard, click here.
The billboards aim to
raise awareness about abortion, Planned
Parenthood’s history of racism and the continuing eugenics movement in
Wisconsin. The campaign directs the public to TooManyAborted.com
and was
created by Ryan Bomberger (who is biracial), the Chief Creative Officer
of The Radiance
Foundation.
“Our goal is to expose an
industry that doesn’t trust women enough to
tell them the truth, injects gender animosity by demonizing men, and
targets minorities resulting in hugely disproportionate rates of
abortion in the urban community,” explained Bomberger.
The billboards are a
collaborative effort between Pro-Life Wisconsin
and the national organization The Radiance Foundation.
This Wednesday, March 23, Ryan
Bomberger,
co-founder of The
Radiance Foundation, will speak at 7pm
at the Bishop O'Connor Center, 702 S. High Point Rd., Madison.
Ryan is an
adoptee and adoptive father. Ryan's powerful multimedia live
presentation illuminates the truth about pressing social issues,
especially abortion and adoption. Ryan was a featured speaker
at the national Students for Life of America conference in Washington,
D.C.
Event is free. A reception will
follow Ryan's presentation. Event
sponsored
by
Pro-Life
Wisconsin,
Vigil
for Life of Madison and the Diocese of
Madison.

PLW launches petition drive to defund Planned
Parenthood
Let's tell the Wisconsin
Legislature to...
"END TAXPAYER FUNDING OF
PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF WISCONSIN AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT PERFORM OR
REFER FOR ABORTION"
Pro-Life Wisconsin is
calling upon the Wisconsin State Legislature to include in the
2011-2013 biennial budget bill a provision to end all state and federal
funding of Planned Parenthood of
Wisconsin (PPWI) and other organizations that perform or refer
for abortion.
to download copies of the petition. Please circulate them among your
family and friends and mail back to the PLW state office. Or click here to sign the petition online. The
petitions will be presented to the Wisconsin Legislature in June.
As it confronts an over $3 billion
structural deficit, the state of Wisconsin can no longer afford the
controversial business of "family planning." Family planning funding is
available on the federal level through Title X (Public Health Services
Act), Title XIX (Medical Assistance) and Title V (Maternal & Child
Health) programs. The state provides matching funds for Title XIX and
Title V programs.
All money is fungible.
Family planning funds free up resources within receiving organizations,
like Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, to engage in the surgical abortion
business. Confidential family planning services also include the
provision of chemically abortifacient birth control drugs, such as the
morning-after pill and the patch, to adults and minor children. Rather
than throw money at organizations that perform or refer for abortion,
family planning funds should be eliminated to help balance the state
budget. Governor
Walker’s
budget proposal makes a good start toward this end by
eliminating the Title V Maternal & Child Health family planning
program ($3.4 million in
annual state and federal spending). Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin,
the state’s largest abortion provider, annually receives close to $1
million in Title V state and federal matching funds. Polls consistently
demonstrate that Americans are opposed to taxpayer funding of
abortions. PLW will work to ensure the Governor’s Title V family
planning deletion is retained in the final budget. And signing and
circulating our petition will help with this effort!

Milwaukee County Sheriff deputies deliver female
prisoner to
Milwaukee abortuary, in shackles and handcuffs
Affiliated Medical
Services, located at 1428 N. Farwell Ave. in
Milwaukee, is one of the four surgical abortion facilities in the state
of Wisconsin. It is the only facility in the state that performs
late-term abortions. 40 Days for Life has been observed
at Affiliated for a couple years,
and vigilers have seen the sad,
the joyful, the unexpected, the heart-breaking and the truly awful.
This past Thursday, March
17, two male Milwaukee County Sheriff deputies brought a female
prisoner to Affiliated for an abortion. The deputies were in
uniform, and the prisoner was in shackles and handcuffs.
A recent
email
from
a post-abortive woman,
published by Jill Stanek on her
blog, illustrates all too well how abortion hurts women, how women feel
they have no other choice, and how women are coerced into abortion.
Thursday was St.
Patrick’s Day. We ask all of you to pray for this
woman and the deputies who delivered her to the abortuary.
“If I have any worth, it
is to live my life for God as to teach these peoples; even though some
of them still look down on me.” – St. Patrick.
Please join us in prayer
outside Wisconsin's chemical and surgical abortion facilties throughout
the state. See list of affiliate observances below, or go to 40daysforlife.com.
