ACT NOW! “Choose Life” Wisconsin license plate bill NOT on Senate calendar for last day of session!

Senate Republican leadership is balking at passage of the “Choose Life” Wisconsin specialty license plate legislation.  They have refused to schedule Assembly Bill (AB) 206 for a final vote in the State Senate.  The last day of the 2013-14 legislative session is tomorrow April 1. It is critical that you call Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald NOW and demand that he schedule AB 206 for a vote on the Senate floor tomorrow.  The bill has already passed the State Assembly. We simply need the State Senate to pass it and send it on to Governor Walker for his expected signature.

Choose Life Wisconsin, Inc. will disburse the proceeds from the sale of the plates to pregnancy care centers throughout the state. While Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin receives millions in coerced taxpayer funding every year, isn’t it about time that pregnancy care centers have the opportunity to receive private funding through voluntary license plate purchases?

It is shocking that Senate Republican leadership is running away from such a positive, life-affirming piece of legislation.  Don’t let them off the hook!

Please CALL Senator Scott Fitzgerald NOW and demand that he schedule AB 206 for a vote on the Senate floor tomorrow.  His Capitol office phone number is (608) 266-5660. Tell him abortion vulnerable women at pregnancy care centers across the state need this bill.
Thank you for making a difference!

A Time to Decide: Open Letter to National Right to Life

Georgia Right to Life, a staunch defender of human personhood and one of the most effective statewide pro-life organizations, has been kicked out National Right to Life for refusing to embrace abortion in limited cases.

Keith Mason, founder of Personhood USA, responds to this sad and puzzling development in an email sent to supporters.

"It’s time to decide what our standard is as a movement. If being pro-life is about getting good marks on the NRLC scorecard and voting the party line, like Eric Cantor, then we will continue to enable political opportunists who have no interest in ending abortion. If it is about protecting the lives and inherent dignity of every unborn child—Personhood—then we will praise statesmen who adhere to that standard rather than reprimanding them."

Nancy Pelosi to Receive Margaret Sanger Award

Nancy Pelosi has long been known for her radical pro-abortion views. Now, she is be honored for those views by none other than Planned Parenthood, who is awarding her with the Margaret Sanger Award.

The award is obviously named after the infamous founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, who once said in an essay entitled The Wickedness of Creating Large Families, "The most merciful thing that the large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it."

Based on Ms. Pelosi's track record of anti-life advocacy, we agree that this is an award she richly deserves
