Wisconsin State Senate reclaimed for life!

Pro-Life Wisconsinites are encouraged by Election Day victories of total protection pro-life candidates across the state of Wisconsin. A new pro-life majority in the state Senate and a larger pro-life majority in the state Assembly, coupled with a pro-life governor, will help continue building a culture of life in Wisconsin.

The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund political action committee (PAC) congratulates Senator-elect Rick Gudex of Fond du Lac on his outstanding victory, a victory that helped reclaim the state Senate for life. Having endured outrageous and malicious attacks on his pro-life beliefs, Rick proved that Wisconsinites will elect to high office people of principle who proclaim that abortion is never the answer to an unplanned pregnancy.

Unofficial reports show Republicans gaining 1 seat in the state Assembly and 2 seats in the state Senate to secure pro-life majorities in both houses. In the Assembly, 23 of the 31 candidates endorsed by the PLW Victory Fund PAC were elected and in the Senate, 3 of the 5 endorsed candidates were elected (pending final general election results).

The lives of innocent preborn children are more on the minds of candidates than ever, thanks to the dedication and hard work of grassroots pro-life campaign volunteers around the state.  In the coming legislative session, Pro-Life Wisconsin will be working to make sure that our success in this election translates into greater legal protection for these innocent lives.

Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC supports candidates for public office who demonstrate a commitment to protect each and every innocent human life – in all circumstances and at all stages of development.  Senator-elect Rick Gudex (R-Fond du Lac), Representatives-elect John Spiros (R-Marshfield) and Paul Tittl (R-Manitowoc) and all our endorsed candidates care passionately about protecting preborn children without exception.  We are so proud of their efforts and look forward to working with them!

National election failures no excuse for discouragement / surrender

Despite the re-election of Barack Obama, the most pro-abortion president in American history, and a pro-abortion United States Senate that will uphold Obamacare and its abortion/contraception funding, pro-life Americans must not surrender to despair and discouragement.  We are a people of hope who know that God is in control and can and does bring good from evil – every day and all around us!  Let us continue to be Jesus’ hands and feet, changing the culture one heart at a time, not relying on the politicians for a quick fix.  The following three articles will inspire you to stretch even more for our vulnerable preborn brothers and sisters in this difficult time.

Nevada Supreme Court gives go-ahead for forced-abortion case, hearings continue

Reno, NV, November 7, 2012 (LifeSiteNews) – The Nevada Supreme Court Tuesday ruled that hearings can continue in the case of a disabled woman who may be forced by court order to submit to an abortion. Meanwhile, hearings continued in the case, featuring testimony from the woman’s neurologist, who said it is safe for her to continue her pregnancy.

Elisa Bauer, 32, suffers from epilepsy and mental impairment as a result of her birthmother drinking too much alcohol while pregnant. She is thirteen weeks pregnant, and her adoptive parents, Bill and Amy Bauer, who are still her legal guardians, made the decision to allow her to carry the baby to term. They plan to place the infant with an adoptive family.

Judge Egan Walker of Nevada’s 2nd District Court has challenged that decision, ordering an investigation into Elisa’s physical and psychological condition to help him determine whether to order an abortion for Elisa over the objection of her parents. Read more here.
