Wisconsin Family Planning Clinics Overbill Medicaid by $3.5 Million

Family Planning Health Services taunts pro-lifers with dancing devil balloons.

State auditors claim that two Wisconsin family planning clinics overbilled Medicaid by $3.5 million, mostly for birth control drugs and devices. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) issued preliminary findings in August to Family Planning Health Services, Inc. and NEWCAP, Inc., stating that they overbilled Medicaid by $2.3 million and $1.2 million, respectively, from 2010 to 2011.

As reported by the Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism, Inspector General Alan White defended the audits and their conclusions stating, “This administration, this agency has put a great deal of effort into improving program integrity, and (auditors) take it very seriously…And protecting the taxpayers of Wisconsin is their predominant responsibility.”

The tragically misnamed Family Planning Health Services (FPHS), based in Wausau and run by Lon Newman, operates in a fashion very similar to Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, peddling a culture of promiscuity and distributing abortifacient contraception on a regular basis. Worst of all, the vast majority of these “services” are supported by taxpayer funds.

Bishop Hying Leads Eucharistic Procession at Milwaukee Abortion Clinic

On Sunday, November 16, Bishop Donald Hying of Milwaukee lead a solemn Eucharistic Procession around the entire block on which stands the Affiliated Medical Service abortion facility.

Nearly 100 people young and old prayed a scriptural rosary for an end to the killing. Following the rosary, those present processed with our Lord across the street to the Women's Care Center, where Bishop hying concluded the vigil with the Divine Praises and a blessing.

Thank you to Dan Miller, Bishop Hying, 40 Days for Life and Roses for Our Lady for organizing this powerful witness.

Just So You Know, the Salvation Army Supports Abortion in Some Cases

Salvation Army bell ringers are as much a part of the Christmas season as carols and gift wrapping, with their red kettles and the cheerful sound of their bells greeting us almost everywhere we go.

And yet it’s the very ubiquity of bell ringers that prompts us to remind you of a not so cheerful fact: The Salvation Army supports abortion in some cases.
