ProLifeWisconsin.org has a new look!
We’ve re-designed our Web site… you
may not recognize it from before! ProLifeWisconsin.org has a new look.
Use the site as a resource for pro-life news and information, stay informed
on upcoming events, find ways to get involved, donate online and much more. Gov. Doyle signs sex education bill On February 24, Governor Doyle signed
Assembly Bill (AB) 458 into law as 2009
Governor Doyle’s signing of AB 458 is yet
another sad example of his bowing to the demands of Planned Parenthood of
Wisconsin. Planned Parenthood’s agenda in initiating and ramming through this
legislation is to: 1) sexualize our children at an early age; 2) get them on
contraception as soon as possible; 3) refer them to Planned Parenthood
abortion mills when the contraception inevitably fails; and 4) profit from
surgical abortions. Never the mind the deaths of innocent preborn children
and the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual damage to vulnerable
young mothers and fathers – Planned Parenthood’s number one objective is to
make money! As parents and concerned citizens, we need
to fight this assault on our youth. Chastity/abstinence is the only message
that will protect their bodies and preserve their innocence. Pro-Life On November 5, 2009, the Wisconsin State
Assembly passed AB 458 by a vote of 48-43 (click here for the roll call vote). The
Wisconsin State Senate passed AB 458 on January 28, 2010, by a vote of 18-15
(click here for the roll call vote). Pro-Life
The Economist: Gendercide, the war on baby girls From The Economist March 4 print
edition [emphasis added] Killed,
aborted or neglected, at least 100m girls have disappeared — and the number
is rising IMAGINE
you are one half of a young couple expecting your first child in a
fast-growing, poor country. You are part of the new middle class; your income
is rising; you want a small family. But traditional mores hold sway
around you, most important in the preference for sons over daughters. Perhaps
hard physical labor is still needed for the family to make its living. Perhaps
only sons may inherit land. Perhaps a daughter is deemed to join another
family on marriage and you want someone to care for you when you are old.
Perhaps she needs a dowry. Now
imagine that you have had an ultrasound scan; it costs $12, but you can
afford that. The scan says the unborn child is a girl. You yourself would
prefer a boy; the rest of your family clamors for one. You would never dream
of killing a baby daughter, as they do out in the villages. But an abortion
seems different. What do you do? For millions of couples, the answer is:
abort the daughter, try for a son. In To
