Buses to leave Wisconsin on Sunday
Over 200 Pro-Life Wisconsinites to
March for Life in Washington, D.C.

Pro-Life Wisconsin announced today that a large contingent of Pro-Life Wisconsinites will be making the trek to Washington, D.C., Sunday for the annual March for Life and other pro-life activities. The national pro-life march is scheduled to begin at noon on Wednesday, January 22, from the Washington Monument and proceed to the Supreme Court.

“Wisconsin will march for life in force in 2003,” said Peggy Hamill, state director of Pro-Life Wisconsin. “30 years of abortion -- the child in the womb treated as nothing more than property of his or her mother -- has led to abortion on demand, ghoulish research on preborn babies, human cloning and more. Enough is enough!,” exclaimed Hamill.

Pro-Life Wisconsin supporters will leave on buses from Necedah and Milwaukee. The Necedah bus will leave from St. Francis Church at 10:00 a.m. and the Milwaukee bus will depart at 1:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Church, 1260 Church Street in Elm Grove. Other supporters are scheduled to travel in vehicles from other parts of the state.

The March commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Supreme Court's deadly Roe vs. Wade decision. Each year hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers march in D.C. to protest the Court's decision which has led to the destruction of more than 45 million preborn babies.

“We can’t be about regulating abortion; we can’t be about just stopping public funding of abortion,” said Hamill. “We must be about restoring legal protection for every human life, without exception.”

Here in Wisconsin thousands of Pro-Life Wisconsinites will gather on January 22 at affiliate events throughout the state, including the capital in Madison.

Hamill will be available for interviews while in D.C. and can be reached by cell phone, (414) 416-0489. To arrange local interviews or D.C. interviews, please contact Katherine Ribnek at the State Office, (262) 796-1111.
