Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life, to speak at Milwaukee Rally for Life this Saturday
Brookfield, WI – Pro-Life Wisconsin and Citizens for a Pro-Life Society are expecting hundreds of pro-lifers to gather in Milwaukee this Saturday for the annual Rally for Life. This year, the Rally will feature Fr. Frank Pavone, National Director of Priests for Life and founder of the new religious society, Missionaries of the Gospel of Life.
The Rally for Life will be held Saturday, January 13th, at Three Holy Women Parish, St. Rita’s Church, 1601 N. Cass St., and will include mass at 9:30 a.m., followed by a procession and prayerful public witness at Affiliated abortion clinic in downtown Milwaukee. The Rally for Life will conclude with a luncheon featuring Fr. Pavone as the keynote speaker.
Fr. Pavone is one of the most visible leaders of the pro-life movement. He has been the host of several national television and radio programs devoted to exposing the tragedy of abortion in America, including Defending Life, which airs weekly on EWTN. He will join Citizens for a Pro-Life Society and Pro-Life Wisconsin to mark the 34th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision. Priests for Life estimates that over 47 million children have perished from surgical abortion since 1973.
“The ‘Rally for Life’ is an opportunity to speak out and show that there is large-scale public opposition to the status quo regarding abortion,” said Peggy Hamill, State Director of Pro-Life Wisconsin. “It’s also an opportunity for us to pray that God would somehow deliver our country from the great injustice of abortion. We’re delighted to have Fr. Pavone leading us in prayer and confronting those most responsible for the bloodshed.”
In addition to Fr. Pavone, the event will feature Monica Migliorino Miller, founder and National Director of Citizens for a Pro-Life Society as the day’s emcee.
“Whenever pro-lifers gather in a public place, we are not only making a public witness for the sanctity of human life, but we are also re-committing ourselves to the pro-life cause. By going to the actual place of death, where abortions are being committed, we are binding ourselves to the suffering of these innocent children,” explained Migliorino Miller. “Rallies such as this one make a public statement that the pro-life movement is dedicated to being a voice for the innocent victims of abortion and will be here as long as the killing continues. We will never abandon the children in their distress.”
Several Wisconsin legislators will also be attending, addressing gathered pro-lifers about their political commitment to the preborn children of Wisconsin.
The annual Rally for Life is co-sponsored by Pro-Life Wisconsin and Citizens for a Pro-Life Society. For more information or to schedule interviews, please contact Marc Tuttle, Communications Director of Pro-Life Wisconsin, (262) 408-0506 or e-mail info@prolifewisconsin.org.
