Undercover investigation of Milwaukee Planned Parenthood reveals cover-up of purported statutory rape

Today, Live Action Films revealed an undercover video taken at the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Planned Parenthood. The undercover footage shows the Planned Parenthood staff counseling a purportedly 14-year-old statutory rape victim not to tell anyone about her 31-year-old boyfriend and coaching her how to obtain an abortion without her parents' consent.

"Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is the state's number one abortion provider, both surgical and chemical. Planned Parenthood has proven time and again there is a continued pattern of covering up sexual abuse," said Virginia Zignego, communications director of Pro-Life Wisconsin. "In Wisconsin, sex between an adult and a minor under age 16 is a felony and must be reported to law enforcement. Planned Parenthood does not care about the children of Wisconsin, just the money for abortions."

Yesterday, Pro-Life Wisconsin revealed the results of an open records request, which showed that the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) has been funding medical students' rotations at Planned Parenthood, training medical students in abortion procedures. State law prohibits taxpayer funding of elective abortions. Click here to view the press release.

"Planned Parenthood clearly believes they are above the law," Zignego continued. "It is time for our elected officials to step up and launch an investigation."

The Milwaukee Planned Parenthood received $1,064,574.28 in 2007 under Wisconsin's Family Planning Waiver Program. Through this federal/state program, minors as young as 15 receive free birth control, without their parents' knowledge or consent.
