Pro-Life Wisconsin Welcomes 100 Percent
Pro-Life Legislators on Inauguration Day

With the addition of three new 100 percent pro-life legislators to the state Senate today, Pro-Life Wisconsin is welcoming the opportunity to see the total protection pro-life message furthered.

“The right to life belongs to each and every human being, no matter how or where they are conceived,” said Peggy Hamill, Pro-Life Wisconsin state director. “Wisconsin now has three more state senators – in Sen. Tom Reynolds (R-West Allis), Sen. Neal Kedzie (R-Elkhorn), and Sen. Joe Leibham (R-Sheboygan) – who believe this fundamental pro-life message.”

Several new 100 percent pro-life state Assembly members being sworn in today will also secure the ranks of the pro-life Assembly. These include Becky Weber (R-Green Bay), Mark Gottlieb (R-Port Washington) and Leah Vukmir (R-Wauwatosa).

With the intensifying assaults on human life, including the announcement that a human clone has been born, Pro-Life Wisconsin will be working with Rep. Steve Kestell (R-Elkhart Lake) to ban all human cloning; incoming Assembly Speaker John Gard (R-Peshtigo) has expressed his support for such a
ban.

“We are confident that mounting public pressure against human cloning, as well as the support of a majority of those in the Legislature, will combine to see this ban become law,” said Hamill. “Our commitment to proclaiming and protecting the personhood of every human being is unwavering, and we are excited to begin working with lawmakers this session.”
