Pro-Life Wisconsin applauds Walker, Kleefisch primary wins

Voters gave the nod Tuesday to Scott Walker for governor and Rebecca Kleefisch for lieutenant governor in Republican primary victories that will set the stage for pro-life gains in November.

“Scott Walker and Rebecca Kleefisch are outspoken and faithful defenders of the right to life of all preborn children, and we congratulate them on their hard-won victories” said Mary Matuska, president of the Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC. “The top two Republican candidates for state office are committed to the protection of each and every innocent human life from conception to natural death. Theirs is a compassionate position that respects women and reflects Wisconsin’s values.”

Around the state, Michelle Litjens (Oshkosh) in Assembly District 56, Joan Ballweg (Markesan) in Assembly District 41, Andre Jacque (Green Bay) in Assembly District 2 and Don Pridemore (Pewaukee) in Assembly District 99 also won primary races. These candidates voiced their strong support for the total protection of every preborn baby.

“The Victory Fund PAC mobilized 100 percent pro-life voters in these races…and those voters clearly did their part,” said Matuska. “Wisconsin pro-lifers take their convictions to the polls and, increasingly, the pro-life candidates they support hold a consistent, no-exceptions pro-life position. We’re looking forward to November 2; maintaining a strong effort on behalf of these candidates who defend the right to life of every preborn baby.”

Pro-Life Wisconsin
Victory Fund supports candidates for public office who demonstrate a commitment to protect each and every innocent human life – in all circumstances and at all stages of development. To be “100% pro-life” is to know that a human life begins at fertilization and that there may never be a legal exception to an innocent child’s inalienable right to life.
