Pro-Life Wisconsin praises pro-life leadership
of Pope John Paul II

Pro-Life Wisconsin joins our voice with the worldwide choir singing praise to the pro-life leadership of Pope John Paul II on his 25th papal anniversary. Pope John Paul II has by far been the most prominent, most articulate and most steadfast world leader in modern history to advocate on behalf of each and every innocent human person.

The words of Pope John Paul II in his encyclical, Evangelium Vitae (Gospel of Life), have set the course worldwide for pro-life ministries to follow: “Every person sincerely open to truth and goodness can, by the light of reason and the hidden action of grace, come to recognize in the natural law written in the heart the sacred value of human life… and can affirm the right of every human being to have this primary good respected to the highest degree.”

We praise God, for in His mercy, providence and infinite wisdom He has set Pope John Paul II before us as a disciple to lead others to defend the dignity of the human person from the moment of fertilization until natural death. As the assaults on innocent human life (i.e. chemical and surgical abortion, embryonic stem cell research, human cloning and euthanasia) continue to intensify, Pro-Life Wisconsin calls upon pastors and the laity to stand with us following the example of Pope John Paul II’s service to Christ, proclaiming the Gospel of Life.
