Pro-Life Wisconsinites leave Friday for Washington, D.C. to participate in annual March for Life

Brookfield, WI
– Two buses with over one hundred supporters of Pro-Life Wisconsin will roll out Friday, January 19th as part of Pro-Life Wisconsin’s annual pilgrimage to the March for Life in Washington, D.C. There they will join an estimated crowd of 100,000 pro-life activists from across the country in what has become one of the nation’s largest marches for social reform.

“Every year the so-called experts and pundits proclaim that the momentum has shifted. They say that the pro-life movement is on the wane. And yet, every year Pro-Life Wisconsinites join up with defenders of life from all fifty states, filling the streets of Washington D.C. for an entire weekend,” said Peggy Hamill, state director of Pro-Life Wisconsin. “Over 100,000 voices will join together next Monday to proclaim to our nation’s leaders that our movement will not stop and we will not rest until we have achieved legal protection for the lives of our littlest brothers and sisters, the preborn children.”

The March for Life will take place on Monday, January 22nd, but Pro-Life Wisconsin supporters will spend the Saturday and Sunday taking part in youth rallies, training workshops, and the annual Mass for Life held in the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

The Pro-Life Wisconsin buses will depart from St. Francis Church in Necedah at 10:00 a.m. and St. Mary’s Church in Elm Grove at 1:30 p.m. Many additional pro-lifers from Wisconsin have arranged their own transportation and will join up with PLW’s contingent in Washington.

To arrange interviews with Mrs. Hamill on location at the March for Life call the state office, (262) 796-1111, or contact her via cell phone: (414) 416-0489.
