Pro-life leadership bolstered:
Bishop David A. Zubik appointed Bishop of Green Bay

Pro-Life Wisconsin is greatly encouraged by Pope John Paul II’s appointment of Bishop David A. Zubik as bishop of the Diocese of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Bishop Zubik, who is 54 years old and a native of Sewickley, Pennsylvania, will be coming to Wisconsin from Pittsburgh where he has served as Vicar General. Speaking highly of Bishop Zubik’s pro-life work, Susan Rauscher, Secretary for Pastoral and Social Concerns of the Pittsburgh Diocese, told Pro-Life Wisconsin that Bishop Zubik has been a regular participant in the January March and Mass for Life held in Washington, D.C.

“Bishop Zubik has established a reputation as a true disciple of Christ’s Gospel of Life,” stated Peggy Hamill, state director of Pro-Life Wisconsin. “The pro-life movement in Wisconsin will be bolstered with the arrival of Bishop Zubik to our state.”

Anticipating Bishop Zubik’s December 12th installation as Bishop of Green Bay, Hamill continued, “We look forward to working with Bishop David A. Zubik. We welcome His Excellency to Wisconsin.”
